Apple has released a new update to iOS 7 today-7.1.1

Apple has released a new update to iOS 7 today-7.1.1

Apple has released a new update to iOS 7 today, a minor point update with bug fixes and improvements. One such improvement beefs up Touch ID performance, which should mean better recognition of fingerprints registered with your iPhone 5s device. Some users had cited a gradual worsening of the Touch ID sensor’s ability to recognize existing fingerprints, so hopefully this clears that up for those who were having trouble.
Apple had previously been reported to have been preparing a software update to improve this so-called “fade” problem, according to AppleInsider, so it isn’t surprising to see it show up. There’s also a bug fix that should make the iOS keyboard more responsive, according to the software’s release notes, as well as a fix for an issue that affects the use of Bluetooth keyboards when the VoiceOver user accessibility feature is enabled.
To update your device, simply check out the Software Update submenu in Setting on your device or plug it into your computer and open iTunes.

This update contains improvements, bug fixes and security updates, including:
  • Further improvements to Touch ID fingerprint recognition
  • Fixes a bug that could impact keyboard responsiveness
  • Fixes an issue when using Bluetooth keyboards with VoiceOver enabled

Untethered iOS 7.1 Jailbreak shown on iPhone 4

4Some news for iOS 7.1 owners waiting for a jailbreak. p0sixspwn developer winocm today inadvertently released this video, “iOS 7.1 untethered boot” showing an untethered jailbreak of iOS 7.1 on an iPhone

 .

The 2-minute-long https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iamqk3fCLx8&feature=youtu.be  video without narration shows the jailbreak running on the older, A4-equipped iPhone handset. It starts with the bootup process and ends with the operation of the major features of the phone, including the dialer, Safari and more. Noticeably absent in this early jailbreak is Cydia, but this isn’t surprising since winocm hints that the video wasn’t mean to be released quite yet .
This achievement is of little use to the majority of iOS owners, who likely have upgraded from the almost four-year-old device, but it is step forward that may spur other developers to work further on the jailbreak. It is not know whether this jailbreak can be extended to A5 devices or A6 devices like the iPhone 5/5S, but the following Twitter response by iH8Sn0w is promising.
This isn’t a confirmation that iOS 7.1 will be jailbroken, especially since pod2g said earlier this month that the evad3rs team doesn’t plan to actively work on the iOS 7.1 jailbreak. If free time allows, he may explore an iOS 7. 1 jailbreak, but he likely will conserve his efforts for iOS 8.
